Position Summary
Legal Research Managers leverage expertise and research skill to provide answers, develop content, and guide the SecuraHR team on everything related to HR compliance. They can quickly understand complicated laws and explain them to others. They write, edit, and revise content that is easy to read while meeting clients’ needs for HR compliance and risk reduction.
Legal Research Managers spend a lot of their time directly and indirectly helping the team deliver value to SecuraHR clients, and they take lessons from clients into the overall content development process. They do it all while showing joy in their work offering a friendly face to clients who may be tackling tough problems.
Key Responsibilities
- SecuraHR Client Compliance Support: Meets with clients to provide HR compliance expertise during implementation and as needed, learning about clients, reviewing their existing HR materials, and guiding Content and Client Success team members on what’s needed
- SecuraHR Expert: Answers questions from clients, explaining laws and HR things in a way that anyone can understand
- SecuraHR Platform Guide: Understands the content and capabilities of the SecuraHR Platform to provide clients effective solutions
- Legal Researcher: Reads the laws and guidance, provides citations for all work product and ensures the content and answers are legally sound
- Platform Content Developer: Creates, reviews, and revises simple and effective content for the SecuraHR Platform, including policies, forms, agreements, procedures, guidance, and explanations
- Custom Content Development and Review: Creates, reviews, and revises simple and effective content especially for key clients, including policies, forms, agreements, procedures, guidance, analysis, and explanations
- Custom Content Coordinator: Understands clients’ compliance needs and coordinates fulfillment with Content Analysts and Client Success Professionals
- Internal Guidance: Handles questions from other teams on HR compliance questions, research when needed, to provide clear, well-supported answers to keep our teams moving
- Management and Leadership: Assists the Legal Research Director in leading, guiding, and supervising Researchers and Content Analysts
Qualifications
· Holds a degree in law, human resource management, or a similarly relevant field, or has experience demonstrating equivalent expertise
· 6+ years of experience in a legal or human resource management role
· Cares about others and those around them
· Is upbeat and wants to help those around them
· Demonstrated mastery of legal research related to labor and employment, business, and other kinds of regulation and compliance
· Expert skill in writing, formatting, and editing all kinds of documents, including legal documents
· Excellent ability to communicate effectively about complex subject matter, even with audiences who are unfamiliar with it
· Excellent ability to provide client service with care, friendliness, and gratitude
· Demonstrated ability to work in the administrative side of cloud-based compliance software or similar software
· Deep familiarity with the federal, state, and local legal system particularly around employment law and equal employment opportunity
· Demonstrated familiarity with human resource management
