We are seeking an experienced Spanish speaking Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling New York personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and general negligence claims. Familiarity with SmartAdvocate is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, file, and manage personal injury litigation documents, including summons and complaints, bills of particulars, discovery responses, and motions.
Request, obtain, and review medical records, police reports, and insurance information.
Maintain and update case files in SmartAdvocate throughout the duration of each matter.
Communicate professionally with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
Assist attorneys with case preparation, scheduling, and trial readiness.
Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and court requirements for New York cases.
Perform additional administrative and legal support tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a paralegal handling New York personal injury cases.
Proficiency with SmartAdvocate
Strong understanding of NY court procedures (state and federal preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
Experience interacting directly with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
Notary Public commission (optional, not required).
Experience working in a high-volume personal injury practice.
Spanish language proficiency is required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience.
