Looking for BOTH a personal assistant AND an executive assisant (in one person)
We will hire someone who has more political experience than assistant experience more than not; this is very much a thought partner kind of position that I want to turn into a CoS position.

Hours: ~20 hours/week. Availability needed strictly between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no 24/7 on-call required).
Location: NYC/Manhattan (Hybrid: Eventually ~80% remote / 20% in-person, but will start heavily in-person during the onboarding phase to establish workflow and trust).
The Principal:
The Principal is the founder and lead strategist of a fast-paced, very high-revenue Democratic political strategy consulting firm.
While she is an incredibly supportive, friendly, and understanding boss to her internal team, she runs her political campaigns with a high degree and level of precision. Because the stakes of her work are so high, she needs an assistant who is smart, quick, and highly capable. Mistakes happen, but the expectation is that the assistant will own them and fix them immediately. Like for example, if I ask for you to get me a coffee, please get yourself one too. Just dont drop it, please, for all our sakes, haha. :)
The Role:

Requirements & Non-Negotiables:
- Political Fluency: Must have a strong understanding of Democratic politics, campaign cycles, and how to communicate appropriately with high-level political clients.
- Do not 'customer service' me I am genuially looking for a thought partner who can turn this into a CoS postion possibly.
- Looking for a right hand, trust is paramount. Must know how campaigns run.
- Culture Fit: Must be highly LGBTQ+ ally. Zero exceptions. Must also be friendly and comfortable working in progressive Democratic spaces.
- Absolute Discretion: A strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is mandatory. Complete confidentiality regarding clients, campaigns, and the Principal’s personal life is required.
- High Autonomy & Problem Solving: The candidate must be able to execute tasks efficiently, figure things out on the fly, and anticipate needs before they are stated.
- Remote work components include comfort while working in a hybrid environment that combines remote and in-person duties. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic individual eager to support a busy professional while honing their politics/campaigns expertise. I will hire someone who has little experience in being an EA/PA but has more politics/campaigns experience over the inverse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support: Manage the Principal's inbox, schedule, and client communications. Act as a trusted sounding board to bounce campaign strategy off of. Looking for a right hand.
- Vendor Management (Personal): The Principal does not expect this role to do the physical heavy lifting (no literal cleaning or doing laundry). Instead, this role will manage the people who do. The assistant will research, hire, and coordinate house cleaners, laundry pick-up/delivery services, and interior decorators.
- Physical Logistics: Handle in-person tasks in NYC when needed (e.g., checking the PO Box, managing incoming physical mail, and coordinating premium car services like Blacklane for the Principal's travel).
- Reliable internet connection for remote work components; comfort working in a hybrid environment combining remote and in-person duties. - Manage and maintain the executive’s calendar using Microsoft Outlook Calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events with precision.
- Handle all aspects of office management, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records both digitally and physically.
- Assist with event planning for personal and professional occasions, coordinating logistics, vendors, invitations, and follow-up tasks.
- Provide executive administrative support such as proofreading documents, transcribing notes, and preparing correspondence.
- Oversee bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks or similar software to track expenses, process invoices, and perform basic bookkeeping duties.
- Coordinate project activities by tracking deadlines, preparing reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Manage communication via phone and emails. handle inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Support personal errands as needed, including scheduling appointments, managing travel arrangements, and other administrative duties.
- Utilize and Organize the Google Workspace tools to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that support daily operations.
- Assist with client or vendor communications through email or phone calls while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
