The Role: Bringing the World to our Brand
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Export Sales Assistant Manager who views international trade through the lens of business development rather than just shipping schedules. This is a "money-in" role. You won't just be managing orders; you will be identifying high-potential overseas markets, securing distribution partners, and scaling our footprint in the global consumer goods sector.
The ideal candidate understands that exporting isn't just about moving product—it’s about understanding the cultural psychology of the buyer and the local retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Aggressive Market Expansion: Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new international territories and exceed revenue targets.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Build and nurture high-value partnerships with overseas distributors and retail chains, ensuring our brand is prioritized in their portfolio.
- Cultural Market Intelligence: Apply deep multi-cultural knowledge to adapt sales pitches, negotiation styles, and product positioning for specific regions (e.g., APAC, EMEA, LATAM).
- Revenue Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze global market trends and competitor movements to pivot strategies and capture "first-mover" advantages.
- High-Level Reporting: Deliver crisp, data-backed performance reports and market forecasts directly to the General Manager to guide company-wide growth decisions.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven success in exporting consumer goods, specifically within the retail trade sector. You must have a track record of "opening doors" in new markets.
- Cultural Intelligence: Demonstrated ability to navigate cross-cultural business etiquette and local market preferences. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a significant advantage.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills with a focus on profit margins and long-term contract value, not just volume.
- Tech Literacy: High-level computer literacy (CRM mastery, advanced Excel) and efficient communication speed (excellent typing/documentation).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to turn complex market data into actionable sales leads.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally to close deals and audit retail presence.
Why This Role?
- This is not a logistics position. While you should understand the export process, your primary KPI is top-line growth. You will be the face of the company in foreign markets, acting as a strategic driver of our global success.
