Role Purpose
As a Manager, Luxury Social & Content Marketing, you will be a core executional leader embedded full-time with Marriott International’s Luxury Group, working across iconic brands such as St. Regis, JW Marriott, and The Luxury Collection.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will help bring brand social and content strategies to life across social media, digital platforms, and select website experiences, supporting global brand initiatives while collaborating closely with agency partners, internal Marriott stakeholders, and hotel teams. You’ll be trusted to operate autonomously, manage moving parts with confidence, and contribute meaningfully to how some of the world’s most recognizable luxury brands show up in social and digital spaces.
While you are employed by 71 West, you will be 100% staffed to Marriott’s luxury portfolio and operate as an integrated extension of their Luxury Content Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Social & Content Strategy Execution
- Support the planning, prioritization, and execution of social and content marketing initiatives across assigned luxury brands.
- Execute against brand-level social strategies while providing guidance and coordination support for regional or hotel-level initiatives when applicable.
- Help ensure content calendars align with broader brand, loyalty, and campaign priorities to maximize reach and impact.
- Track social performance and contribute to ongoing optimization and improvement.
- Actively monitor emerging social platforms, formats, creators, and cultural trends, translating relevant innovations into thoughtful recommendations that help luxury brands evolve while remaining on-brand and strategically grounded.
Social Media & Digital Marketing Oversight
- Support social media content creation, brand activations, editorial calendars, and influencer activations executed by agency and internal teams.
- Support the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and day-to-day management of influencer partnerships, working with agency and internal teams to ensure creators align with brand standards, campaign goals, and platform best practices.
- Contribute to social-first ideation and execution across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Assist with brand website content updates and optimizations in partnership with digital and product teams.
- Provide input on creative briefs for social, video, and digital assets to ensure consistency with brand voice and strategy.
- Support paid social initiatives in collaboration with paid media teams, including content publishing and amplification.
- Assist with social monitoring, community insights, promotions, and activations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with brand marketing leads, PR teams, digital product teams, and external agencies to deliver cohesive campaigns.
Collaborate with analytics and insights teams on KPI tracking, dashboards, and performance reporting.Support the development and evolution of social playbooks and best practices for hotels, agencies, and field teams.Monitor industry trends, platform updates, and competitive activity, sharing relevant insights with stakeholders.
Operational & Team Support
Help manage agency and freelance resources tied to social and content initiatives.Support budget tracking and administrative needs in partnership with senior team members.Contribute to planning sessions, reporting deliverables, and internal documentation.Ensure projects move forward smoothly by maintaining clear communication, timelines, and organized workflows.Occasional travel to support and oversee on-location content shoots, collaborating with production partners, hotel teams, and brand stakeholders to ensure creative execution aligns with brand standards and campaign objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, or a related field.Luxury & Brand Sensitivity: An appreciation for premium brands, storytelling, and maintaining distinct brand voices across a portfolio.Platform Fluency: Hands-on familiarity with major social platforms and an understanding of current social marketing trends and best practices.Executional Confidence: Ability to manage tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver work in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working across agencies, internal teams, and stakeholders within a matrixed organization.Analytical Mindset: Interest in performance tracking, reporting, and using data to inform improvements.Tools & Technology: Familiarity with social media management tools, reporting platforms, and standard productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Keynote). Experience with Sprinklr or similar platforms is a plus.Adaptability: Thrives in environments with complexity, evolving priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
