Merchandising Marketing Assistant.

Position Overview
The Merchandising Marketing Assistant must be highly organized to support a fast-paced merchandising and marketing team. This role plays a key part in managing product assortments, SKU setup, inventory reporting, vendor coordination, and marketing asset organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities Of The Merchandising Marketing Assistant
- Merchandising & Assortment Management: Input, track, and verify item setups and assortment changes across stores and digital platforms. Manage vendor entries through internal portals and oversee SKU setup through completion. Compile and maintain planogram and assortment documentation. Support ongoing assortment updates and seasonal unit changes.
- Reporting & Data Management: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to support brand and merchandising reviews. Pull and analyze data ahead of recurring brand meetings. Track and complete pricing change forms. Manage pre- and post-marketing forecasting documentation. Support new product launch entries and internal presentation materials.
- Marketing Asset Management: Collect, organize, and maintain marketing assets including images, product information, and promotional materials. Ensure assets meet brand standards and documentation requirements. Maintain a centralized digital library for team access. Communicate creative deadlines to vendor partners and internal stakeholders.
- Non-Saleable Programs & Promotions: Assist in developing and executing sampling and promotional programs, including gifts with purchase. Coordinate vendor participation and secure required approvals. Manage new item setup and purchase order execution. Partner with site and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery. Track inventory, generate ROI reports, and evaluate program performance.
- Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors regarding marketing assets and promotional programs. Coordinate timely delivery of materials and project execution. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners. Partner with merchandising teams to align promotional strategies with brand and launch priorities.
Required Experience/Skills for the Merchandising Marketing Assistant:
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (certification a plus).
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong relationship management and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Merchandising Marketing Assistant:
- Retail, beauty, or service industry experience preferred.
- Experience supporting marketing coordination and merchandising functions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
