Position Summary
American Institute for Economic Research educates Americans on the value of personal freedom, free enterprise, property rights, limited government, and sound money. AIER’s ongoing scientific research demonstrates the importance of these principles in advancing peace, prosperity and human progress.
The primary goal of all AIER programs is to facilitate the dissemination of economic research and to engage everyday people in the ideas related to our mission. These programs occur both on AIER’s campus and at conferences across the country. The secondary purpose of these programs is to generate meaningful feedback to improve research and develop dynamic educational content.
The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) seeks a highly organized and mission-driven Educational Program Assistant to support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of its educational seminars, programs, and conferences.
This role is central to the operational success of AIER’s programming and requires close collaboration with internal teams, and external partners. The position offers hands-on experience supporting national educational programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide backend operational and administrative support for AIER programs and conferences.
- Draft and distribute program-related email communications and newsletters.
- Maintain event databases, contact lists, and registration systems.
- Manage invitations and registration workflows.
- Manage the Education Team Calendar and Coordinate with the Educational Programs Manager and the Director of Education for calendaring needs, and provide Administrative Support to the Education Team and the Director of Education
- Maintain CRM and email platforms, including Salesforce and Constant Contact, to maintain secure and accurate data.
- Support event planning, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
- Assist partner organizations with event coordination.
- Coordinate digital outreach campaigns and mailings.
- Assist in building and documenting internal processes to promote continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- 0-3 years of professional work experience, previous events experience is a plus.
- Undergraduate degree in business, operations, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to AIER’s mission.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Professional, collaborative, and results-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with email marketing platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar systems is helpful but not required.
Pay Range
$50,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience.

The employee must be able to communicate both in writing and orally to various audiences, in person, by telephone and video.
The employee will work in a private, home, or shared office environment. Travel will be required for this position. The employee must have the capacity to participate in setting up events and provide general support to other team members.
