About the Role:
The Program Administrator serves as a support role within The People, working with all departments to ensure coordination in scheduling, information management, operations, and program execution.
The People is a completely remote team, so the Program Administrator must be a driven self-starter, able to work successfully with minimal virtual oversight. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and familiarity with G-Suite and CRM experience is a plus. The People is a nonpartisan organization, and as such is looking for candidates who are able to work directly and respectfully with people from all points of the political spectrum without bias. Responsibilities:
- Manage our CRM database including data, reporting, emails, and volunteer portal
- Monitor the volunteer intake process
- Manage Human Resources projects including updating the Employee Handbook, Employee Benefits, time card approval, managing expenses, etc.
- Leadership in maintaining organization’s digital files, calendar, systems, and website
- Ensure charity compliance
- Provide administrative support for bookkeeping, events (remote and onsite) and special projects as needed
- Manage Executive Director’s schedule
- Manage organizational outreach through weekly digital newsletter and social media presence/engagement
- Develop organizational processes and procedures
- Engage and assist with management of our membership and volunteers
- Additional tasks/projects as needed

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. At least three years prior general office experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting preferred.
Physical Demands:

Working Schedule:
This is a full-time (40+ hrs/week) salaried position with a flexible schedule (working hours are based in the eastern time zone).
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Sheets; Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Other systems: knowledge of Social Media posting using Meta Business Suite, NeonCRM or other similar customer relationship management software is desirable. Squarespace or other web software experience would also be desirable.
Travel:
This job will potentially require the need to travel up to 2-4 times a year to participate in team planning meetings, volunteer events, and/or state level program work. Travel will be managed on a trip by trip basis, and fully reimbursed.
