Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in service technician roles, with a focus on refrigeration systems. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive top-notch service and reliable equipment performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R units.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in refrigeration and HVAC systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct field service calls to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and construction to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role within the HVAC industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles, air conditioning systems, and boiler operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to refrigeration systems.
- Experience in property maintenance or appliance repair is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
- Welding skills are advantageous for certain repair tasks.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
