Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in service technician roles, with a focus on refrigeration systems. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive top-notch service and reliable equipment performance.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R units.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in refrigeration and HVAC systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct field service calls to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs as needed.
Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and construction to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed on equipment.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role within the HVAC industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with HVAC design principles, air conditioning systems, and boiler operations is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to refrigeration systems.
Experience in property maintenance or appliance repair is a plus.
Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
Welding skills are advantageous for certain repair tasks.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
