In this highly visible, cross-functional role you’ll operate across the entire customer lifecycle to drive new acquisitions and improve conversion and in-product expansion.
We’re a team of passionate, forward-thinking individuals looking to build a best-in-class marketing function, and we’re seeking our first executive-level marketing hire to lead the way. Reporting directly to the CEO, and overseeing growth, product and brand marketing, this leader will set the vision and tone for the marketing (and commercial) organization. We need someone who can think strategically, drive marketing initiatives and get hands-on with project execution. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our marketing team, processes and brand.
Who You Are:
- You are self-directed with a start-up mentality. You take ownership and don’t mind helping the team with periodic projects outside your specific job description.
- You use humor to carry yourself through challenges. You bring smiles, laughs, and lots of gifs.
- You possess expert communication skills and empathy that allows you to communicate with individuals throughout an organization.
- You balance confidence with humility.
- You don’t waste time. You are efficient, effective, and work hard. You take pride in your day-to-day work.
- You want to be part of a fast-paced environment to build something that will change the world!
- You have a focus on revenue and the data that shows a connection between your work and the revenue increase that results from your work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a cohesive, end-to-end marketing strategy that aligns with our customer needs and growth goals. Establish the budget, use data insights to set goals, optimize campaigns and beat your forecast.
- Messaging & Positioning: Craft and evolve messaging that resonates with our audiences and effectively communicates our unique value in this space.
- Channel Strategy: Define and refine the channel mix, including but not limited to digital advertising, social media, referrals and partnerships, PR and events, to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention and category leadership.
- Briefing: Craft clear, strategic briefs that align cross-functional teams on campaign objectives, target audience insights, key messaging, and desired outcomes, ensuring all initiatives are consistent, on-brand, and goal-oriented.
- Content Creation: Lead the strategy, development and production of high-quality content across paid, owned, and earned channels. This includes blog, video, email, social, web and more.
- Campaign Management & Measurement: Design, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across channels. Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve effectiveness.
- Process & Project Management: Build effective processes for project and campaign management, establishing clear workflows to support marketing operations as we scale.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a small team of marketers ranging from functional leads (growth and product marketing) to producers. Be a player-coach who guides on strategy but is also eager to get in the weeds.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the product and commercial organizations, ensuring alignment and consistent messaging in all customer touchpoints.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in brand or product marketing, ideally with a B2B SaaS brand, with a proven ability to scale. Experience in a start-up or growth-stage company is a big plus.
- Results Orientation: Ability to analyze marketing data, measure campaign effectiveness, and make informed decisions to drive growth and meet revenue goals.
- Process & Project Management: Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and scale processes and ways of working from scratch, quickly.
- Data-Driven Approach: Data-driven mindset with a passion for experimentation, testing, and iterating to drive impactful outcomes.
- Player-Coach Leadership Style: Comfortable leading, mentoring, and collaborating with a small team; able to flex between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
- Collaborative Spirit. Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive marketing initiatives and align efforts with broader company objectives. We win and lose as a team.
- Resourcefulness & Problem-Solving: Creative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited resources.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
