About the role
We are hiring one remote IT support contractor to help support our internal team.
This is a hands-on, real-time support role, not a call center or ticket-only position. You will help team members troubleshoot issues live over Slack and screen sharing.
This role is part-time (15–25 hours/week) to start, with potential to expand.
Start date (IMPORTANT)
You must be able to start no later than May 18.
Candidates will be ranked in part based on how quickly they can start, with priority given to those available immediately.
What you’ll do
- Help team members install and troubleshoot software (including security tools like 1Password)
- Assist with login issues, MFA, browser problems, and general workstation issues
- Provide support via Slack
- Join live screen sharing sessions to troubleshoot issues in real time
- Follow documented workflows (we have ~5 core workflows you will learn)
- Guide non-technical users step-by-step
Environment
Our team is fully remote and uses:
Employees use their own computers — your role is to help them get set up and working properly.
Schedule / Availability
- Must be generally available during U.S. Eastern Time business hours (9am–5pm ET) Monday through Friday
- This is a part-time contractor role, but you must be responsive during your working hours
- You will be expected to respond in Slack quickly and initiate Slack huddles when needed
Requirements (IMPORTANT)
- Strong spoken and written English
- Comfortable speaking live with users and guiding them step-by-step
- Comfortable with Slack and screen sharing
- Experience helping users troubleshoot technical issues
- Reliable internet and quiet working environment
- Must be able to start by May 18
Independent Contractor Notes
- This is a contractor (1099-style) role
- You will be responsible for your own taxes and equipment
- No benefits are provided
- You will be paid hourly based on time worked

- guide the user step-by-step in simple language
