Required Experience Non negotiables
- Previous experience working in a tax or accounting firm
-Familiarity with common tax forms and tax season workflows and deadlines
- Understanding of tax-related terminology and client communications

Key Responsibilities
1. Client communication & Status Updates
- Serve as the primary communication point for tax clients by managing email and phone/text communications with clients
- Provide accurate and timely updates on Return preparation status, missing outstanding documents, e-file submission and acceptance confirmations
- Ensure email follow ups are sent to clients as outlined in tax workflow.
- Communicate confidently using tax-specific terminology with little coaching
- Send out onboarding documents/emails as necessary
- Assist with intercompany communication between tax department and other departments within the company.
2. Scheduling and Administrative Support
- Assist clients with scheduling tax meetings as needed
- Sending out tax questionnaire and helping clients with accessing intuit link when necessary
- Sending out 8821, 2553, and 2848 for signature and uploading to IRS for processing
- Assist in communication with the IRS, State and local Department of revenues
- Confirming Signature of Engagement Letter prior to meetings
- Support tax department projects and seasonal initiatives
- Assist with process improvements as assigned
3. Pipeline & Tracker
- Maintain and update the tax client tracker and pipeline
- Track Return stages, document receipt and filing progress
- Communicate with Tax Department Manager to identify delays and proactively escalate issues
4. Return Processing & File Management
- Ensure tax returns are properly uploaded to client folders after e-file
- Confirm IRS/state acceptance and document completion internally
- Maintain synchronization of client files in proconnect and workdrive
- Upload documents to client portals
- Complete extensions for current tax clients prior to deadline
