Job Summary:
OWT Global seeks a dedicated, self-driven, and experienced Airborne EW Sensor Operator (Radar) SME to join OWT to develop and deliver training for a UAS-integrated unique compact radar. This ASO (Radar) SME will work with patented technologies and powerful software across multiple industries providing technical support to the customer.
In this position, the ASO (Radar) SME will execute tasks and activities in support of the customer portfolio; to include testing, validating, integrating technology, and developing training documentation with a compact patented radar payload, helping translate operational requirements for the supported customers. This position requires a self-driven technical professional to engage in development, training, testing, evaluation, and delivery of state-of-the-art technology solutions to industry. This position is remote and includes travel up to 50% of the time.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Self-driven Subject Matter Expert (SME) and instructor on newly integrated UAS radar system. Required to study system documentation, documentation of testing, and assist with late-stage integration, training package development, and training delivery
- Represent the customer as a highly valued technical SME to industry partners, potential customers, and government agencies showcasing the capability by performing on-site demonstrations at external events, training courses, and customer sites
- Lead installation planning and integration as well as execute deployment configuration, system tuning, technical support, and troubleshooting
- Engage in the planning and execution of demonstrations and customer engagements to ensure the successful fielding and operations of advanced radar systems
- Manage relationships with existing and potential customers and partners insuring a positive impression of the product
- Support the customers growing customer base by developing and maintaining training materials, including application notes, and user manuals
- Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the customer
- CONUS travel may be required up to 50% on average
Job Requirements:
- U.S Citizen
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
Basic Qualifications:
- Personal integrity, trustworthiness, and respect while representing and demonstrating the customer’s products, answering questions, and effectively communicating the value of the products
- Solid technical foundation and good technical writing skills
- Previous experience with airborne radar systems
- Previous experience with UAS payload integration
- Previous experience representing, training, or teaching technical and complex equipment.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize tasks, honor rules of engagements, and follow policies, procedures, and processes
- Organized and detail oriented with excellent decision-making and follow-up skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic, resilient, possessing analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; outstanding customer communication skills with the ability to share high-level overviews and detailed explanations
- Ability to learn and become an SME of a technical product and conveying the value of that product to potential customers
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work remotely or in an office environment
- Able to travel and work outdoors in a multi-climate environment to support customer requirements
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Valued Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Highly preferred experience as a Master Training Specialist in a military component.
- Comfortable working with customers in time critical situations, while maintaining a positive attitude to determine the root causes of issues while troubleshooting both hardware and software
- Experience in cross functional teams and organizations
- Basic understanding of digital signal processing functions and application to various sensor modalities
- Direct experience with radar signals is preferred
- Experience conducting data plotting and analysis
- U.S. DoW Issued Security Clearance
