Our mission is to manage the financial affairs of the principal with precision, discretion, and a high degree of care. We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to high-impact financial operations across entities and investments.
Role Summary:
As the Senior Accountant, you will work directly with the CFO to maintain accurate financial records, support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, and ensure tax and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of entities. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining financial reporting infrastructure and serve as a key liaison with external vendors, financial advisors, and the family office’s external bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Financial Reporting
Assist with monthly close for 12+ entities (LLCs, investment vehicles, operating companies)
Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity across entities
Support consolidation of financials into monthly and quarterly reporting packages
Prepare personal financial statements under the direction of the CFO
Conduct variance analysis and reconcile intercompany transactions
2. Bookkeeping Oversight
Supervise and review the work of an external bookkeeper
Transition external bookkeeper responsibilities to in-house
Ensure timely and accurate accounts payable/receivable processing
Maintain updated and structured QuickBooks chart of accounts
3. Tax Coordination and Compliance
Support preparation and filing of quarterly tax estimates and year-end documents
Coordinate with outside CPAs to ensure timely tax filings and compliance
Track charitable donations, trust distributions, and other tax-advantaged activity
4. Investment & Treasury Support
Assist in compiling investment performance data across accounts and custodians
Help maintain cash flow forecasting models and liquidity dashboards
Coordinate with private banking teams for wires, transfers, and account maintenance
5. Operational Projects
Assist in due diligence, M&A activity, estate planning implementation, or real estate projects
Support reporting needs related to family trusts, construction budgets, and insurance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (private company or family office preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
Experience with multi-entity environments and consolidations
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets), and GSuite (Drive, Gmail, etc.); familiarity with investment account reporting
High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
