Bluebird Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Bookkeeper to join our fully remote team. This role is designed to support multiple small business clients by delivering day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and back-office services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently across a variety of client accounts, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, timely processing of transactions, and consistent communication with both internal team members and client contacts. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the financial health and operational efficiency of our clients while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Basic bookkeeping: record all transactions related to revenue, expenses, bank accounts, credit cards, and other day-to-day accounting items
- Account Reconciliations: perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
- Working Capital Loans: perform monthly reconciliations of all working capital loans
- Accounts Receivable: record customer payments and match against appropriate customer invoices
- Accounts Payable: record vendor invoices, record payments to vendors and match against appropriate vendor invoices
Invoicing
- Process clients’ customer invoicing
Bill Pay
- Process payment of clients’ vendor invoices, including obtaining approval from client for each payment
Payroll Processing
- Process payroll according to clients’ regular payroll schedule
- Record payroll journal entries
- Ensure proper filing of payroll taxes
- Process contractor payments
- Set-up new employees and associated state payroll tax registration
Royalty Accounting
- Prepare royalty accounting using Royalty Accounting system (ie Eddy.app or other similar system) periodically per clients’ instructions
Financial Reporting
- Distribute standard internal financial statements following each month-end
Main Systems Used
· QuickBooks Online is the main system used to process transactions

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or significant related experience
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks
- Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
