The Financial Analyst at Point & Pay is responsible for assisting with monthly/weekly cadences, performing operational and/or other ad-hoc financial analyses, managing certain financial processes, and providing decision support. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail oriented, analytical person with a strong aptitude for problem solving.
What you'll do:
- Evaluate financial issues and data. Provide analysis and other support to various members of the management team
- Prepare month end financial presentations, including performing variance analysis and providing commentary
- Provide recommendations on business decisions such as pricing. Periodically measure the performance of past decisions
- Drive continuous improvement efforts
- Organize and structure workload to meet daily, weekly, monthly, & annual deadlines
- Perform client account reconciliations, including identifying, evaluating, and resolving issues and concerns
- Assist with monthly P/L and cost analysis
- Perform Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Experience using analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Excellent communication skills
- MS Office / Google Suite
- Detailed oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Resourceful and creative problem solver.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to perform with minimum supervision and make decisions independently.
How to stand out (Preferred):
- Moderate SQL manipulation skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software packages and systems
- Strong research, reporting, and data manipulation skills
- Experience in the Payments or Fintech industries
Travel Requirements: 10%
