The Protective Sales Manager is a key sales leadership role for The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The role will be responsible for driving sales of protective products through The Pittsburgh Paints Company stores in the United States. This is a key leadership role that must have a strong understanding of the protective market and products, able to develop strategic sales plans and is able to influence and collaborate with a large sales force. The role will grow sales of protective products through indirect distribution channels.
As part of the Protective Sales team, you will be remote and will report to the Vice President, Protective.
Key Responsibilities
Primary focus and accountability to drive profitable sales and grow our protective segment.
Partner with stores leadership team to effectively sell protective coatings through ADMs
Guide demand of PPG products in all select segments through development of target accounts relationships
Lead and grow major account relationships by evaluating prospect's needs and developing a Value Proposition and addressing the decision makers within select account.
Work closely with the specification and corporate account teams on capital projects
Generate new business and ensure continuing sales growth by staying on top of newer products, industry-specific trends.
Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
Requirements:
10+ years of demonstrated selling experience
High school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience with protective coatings is preferred.
CRM software experience preferred.
Extensive travel within an assigned region is required for customer and team meetings.
