The Software Support Engineer is reporting to the Support Group Manager and will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our in-house, cloud hosted, and client-side implementation of computing and data collection platforms.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure timely response to customer support issues
- Install and upgrade software installations
- Help manage project installations
- Build client monitoring databases
- Provide hardware and software training
- Monitor client systems and databases
Expertise Required:
- Experience with ticketing and workflow management systems (such as JIRA, Zendesk)
- Microsoft Workstation (Windows 7, 8, 10) and Server OS’s (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016)
- Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Experience with database systems including Microsoft SQL, Firebird, MySQL
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
- Bonus qualification: Communication technologies including Wi-Fi, radios, modems, satellite
