Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Development Administrative Support professional to assist our dynamic Business Development team. This role will support the business development (BD) team, including the CEO, Vice President of Business Development and BD managers, in executing administrative, logistical, and coordination tasks to help streamline business operations, proposal efforts, and client management processes.
Key Outcomes
- Government submissions – Support developing professional & timely white papers, briefings, and RFI and RFP responses to government clients through coordination, writing, formatting, and editing.
- Logistical support – Maintain calendars; coordinate efficient logistics, including travel arrangements, for meetings, conferences and other events and promptly reconcile associated expenses.
- Research – Conduct basic research on potential clients and opportunities, market trends and events, competitor analysis, etc. to support BD initiatives.
- Tracking – Administratively support the implementation of a new CRM tool and process, ensure the CRM remains updated, and assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports to monitor the status of business development activities.
- Team player – Provide responsive support across STI Federal. Willing to help in all tasks.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information regarding projects, proposals, and client relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including pivot-tables and other tools for working with large amounts of data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in support of team goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, English, marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in an administrative role, preferably supporting business development or sales teams
Native American Preferred – Sault Tribe Member/Family preferred.
