About Cymbathera
Cymbathera is a Swedish-American company based in Lund, Sweden, actively expanding its presence and investment in the U.S. market.
At Cymbathera, we’re working to bring a new generation of pain relief to people living with chronic pain and inflammation.
Cymbathera was founded by two world-leading scientists at the forefront of bioelectronic medicine: Professor Kevin J. Tracey, neuroscientist at the Feinstein Institutes in New York, and Professor Ulf Andersson, immunologist and professor at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
Our approach uses targeted vagus nerve stimulation technology designed to support the body’s own neural pathways involved in pain regulation — without drugs or surgery. Developed within a rigorous scientific and regulatory framework, Cymbathera’s technology is currently progressing through FDA regulatory pathways in the US.
This is not another wellness gadget or lifestyle trend. Cymbathera is purpose-built neurotechnology created with long-term patient care, trust, and clinical relevance at its core.
We are building more than a product — we are helping shape a new category of evidence-led bioelectronic medicine designed to bring meaningful progress to patients seeking better alternatives and the possibility of living with less pain.
Join us in helping build the future of bioelectronic medicine and bringing new hope to millions of people living with chronic pain.
Why We Need You
As we prepare for market entry and broader awareness in the US, we’re growing our marketing team and looking for a US Marketing & Community Lead. This role will help shape how this innovation is understood and trusted - by patients looking for better options, clinicians focused on responsible care, and health communities seeking meaningful progress.
The US Marketing & Community Lead will sit at the intersection of science, storytelling, and community – helping translate complex neurotechnology into meaningful, credible engagement.
Working closely with the Marketing Director and global cross‑functional partners, you will adapt global strategy into locally resonant activation, build lasting relationships, and help define what responsible, patient‑first neurotechnology engagement looks like in the US.
What You’ll Do
US Market Activation & Awareness
- Lead execution of US marketing initiatives in alignment with global strategy, exercising independent judgment to ensure market relevance, regulatory appropriateness, and brand consistency.
- Interpret and localize global messaging, positioning, and materials for the US market, balancing strategic intent, cultural context, and regulatory considerations.
- Define and drive approaches to increase awareness and meaningful engagement within patient communities, advocacy networks, and broader health and wellness ecosystems.
Patient Organizations, Advisory Boards & KOLs
- Develop and sustain strategic relationships with patient organizations and advocacy groups to build long‑term trust, credibility, and alignment.
- Identify & strategically engage Key Opinion Leaders and Advisory Board members in educational and awareness initiatives, including webinars, podcasts, events, and thought‑leadership forums.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and onboard new KOLs and community ambassadors aligned with Cymbathera’s mission and scientific positioning.
- Plan and oversee Cymbathera’s participation in conferences, roundtables, and community‑focused events to maximize impact, relevance, and learning.
Content, Digital & Community Engagement
- Lead localization and activation of content across digital and social channels, ensuring initiatives align with global strategy while resonating with US audiences.
- Serve as a knowledgeable local representative and facilitator, shaping dialogue by enabling credible voices from patient organizations, KOLs, and advisors.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director and AI & Content Lead to translate local market insights and community perspectives into content strategy and narrative development.
- Guide the distribution and amplification of centrally developed content through local channels and partnerships to drive engagement and relevance.
- Strategically leverage digital platforms to foster dialogue, gather insights, and strengthen community relationships rather than focusing on tactical content production.
- Ensure all local communications consistently reflect Cymbathera’s brand standards, tone of voice, and regulatory requirements.
Performance, Insights & Optimization
- Analyze engagement, reach, and performance data across channels to inform decisions and optimize local initiatives.
- Synthesize insights from social listening, community feedback, and digital analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide structured insights and recommendations to the Marketing Director, contributing to the ongoing refinement and evolution of the global marketing strategy.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Compliance
- Act as a key marketing partner, collaborating closely with the Marketing Director, clinical, regulatory, and external partners.
- Proactively identify and manage communication risks, ensuring all activities align with regulatory expectations and Cymbathera’s strategic positioning.
Who You Are
- 6-8 years of experience in MedTech, HealthTech, Wellness, or Life Sciences (OTC or adjacent preferred).
- Strong digital and social media expertise across platforms.
- A natural relationship builder with credibility, empathy, and clarity.
- Comfortable working with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
- AI literacy: ability to use generative AI tools for content creation, adaptation, and scaling.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and energized by collaborative, fast-moving, purpose‑driven environments.
Why Join Cymbathera
