Full-Time Senior Retail Bookkeeper
at Weston Table
Weston Table is hiring a senior full-charge bookkeeper to own day to day bookkeeping across a high volume retail business. We are looking for a career bookkeeper who is precise, fast, and accountable, and who takes pride in maintaining clean, accurate financials.
This is a hands-on role for someone who prefers execution over oversight. If you are looking to move into a controller or finance role, this is not the position.
Responsibilities
• Owning the general ledger daily with no supervision
• Reconciling high volume transactions, including Shopify payouts
• Posting and maintaining journal entries consistently and correctly
• Managing accounts payable, bill payments, and purchase orders
• Maintaining inventory accounting and understanding COGS timing
• Handling accruals across multiple periods
• Supporting direct mail accounting, including estimates and reconciliation
• Completing monthly closes with fully reconciled financials
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies immediately
You Are a Fit If
• You have 7 to 10 plus years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• You have worked in retail or e commerce with inventory
• You understand Shopify or similar high volume systems
• You are comfortable working in detail every day
• You can complete a clean monthly close without supervision
You Are Not a Fit If
• You are a controller, senior accountant, or finance professional
• You prefer reviewing work rather than doing it
• You lack inventory or retail experience
• You rely on others to identify issues
Systems
Shopify, QuickBooks, and a separate inventory system. You must be comfortable reconciling across systems.
Working Style
Remote is acceptable. Responsiveness and clear communication are required.
