Job Title: Administrative Assistant I

A growing organization in the insurance space is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support their Finance team in a fully remote capacity. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Finance department
- Communicate with insurance carriers via phone and email to verify policy details, documentation, and account information
- Accurately update and maintain records within internal systems
- Generate and maintain reports in Excel to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Perform data reconciliation and analysis using intermediate Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
- Assist with financial tracking, documentation, and internal recordkeeping
- Support reporting initiatives by compiling and organizing data for leadership
- Complete ad hoc administrative tasks as needed in a dynamic environment
Qualifications:
- 1–2+ years of administrative experience (insurance industry experience preferred, especially health insurance)
- Intermediate Excel skills required (VLOOKUPs, formulas, data handling)
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly (QuickBooks is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must-Haves:
- Ability to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST (30-minute lunch)
