SummaryThe Full-Charge Bookkeeper supports the day-to-day and month-to-month bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including maintaining accurate financial records, completing monthly closes, and delivering reliable financial reports.
This role is responsible for taking clients from post-onboarding through ongoing monthly accounting while following firm systems, processes, and standards. Success in this role means producing accurate, timely financials, identifying and resolving issues, and steadily building ownership of client accounts over time.
This role will begin on a part-time basis during an initial probationary period, starting with one to two clients. As accuracy, reliability, and consistency are demonstrated, additional clients will be assigned, with the expectation that the role will grow into a full-time position.
Responsibilities- Manage bookkeeping for assigned clients in QuickBooks Online
- Review and categorize transactions accurately and consistently
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and unreconciled items
- Record and reconcile payroll activity and related liabilities
- Track and reconcile sales tax liabilities
- Complete monthly close following firm procedures and checklists
- Prepare accurate, client-ready financial reports
- Maintain organized documentation following firm standards
- Communicate internally regarding client issues or questions
- Ensure books are clean, accurate, and ready for tax preparation
QualificationsRequired:
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (balance sheet, P&L, debits/credits)
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Must be based in the United States
- Must be able to work as a W-2 employee
Preferred:
- Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, or similar)
- Experience with sales tax tracking and reconciliation
- Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm

Compensation & Growth- Hourly rate: $24–$30 per hour, based on experience
