About The Role
We're hiring a
Director, Financial Control to act as the key link between Finance and the wider business, ensuring local financial, statutory, operational, and tax requirements are aligned with group reporting and control standards.
This role sits within
Accounting and Reporting and reports to the
VP Accounting Operations. You will serve as the regional finance lead, partnering closely with
Group Accounting, Tax, Finance Operations, as well as operational and commercial teams. Rather than directly managing centralised A/P and A/R processes, you will bring strong local statutory expertise and help connect regional realities with global finance processes.
This is a highly visible opportunity in a high-growth AI infrastructure business, requiring sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to influence across functions without direct authority. Your work will be critical in building scalable, robust financial processes that support rapid growth while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and reporting integrity.
What you'll be doing
Regional Financial Leadership
- Act as the regional finance lead and primary point of contact between central finance teams and local operations.
- Serve as the connective point between Group Accounting, Tax, Finance Operations, and in-region stakeholders.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders, using data-driven analysis to support decision-making.
Reporting, Close, and Compliance
- Own and coordinate the month-end close for your region in partnership with the central accounting team.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across regional entities.
- Manage local statutory reporting and compliance requirements, including local GAAP, tax, VAT/sales tax, and regulatory filings.
- Support alignment between local reporting requirements and group reporting standards under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
Controls, Audit, and Accounting Integrity
- Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and key financial controls.
- Coordinate and support external audits and local statutory audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors where applicable.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place and continuously strengthened as the business scales.
Business Partnership and Process Improvement
- Partner with operational teams to translate business activity into accurate financial treatment, including leases, revenue recognition, cost allocations, and capitalisation policies.
- Support budgeting and forecasting at a regional or cost-centre level alongside Finance Operations and operational leaders.
- Identify gaps between local operational realities and group processes, and proactively solve issues.
- Improve processes to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
KPIs
- Accurate and timely month-end close
- Local statutory and regulatory compliance
- Balance sheet reconciliation and control integrity
- Process improvement for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
About You

- Experience operating in a multi-entity, international environment
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Comfortable acting as the glue between centralised finance functions and local operational teams
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical accounting matters into clear business implications
- Confident communicator in English, both written and verbal
- Proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable making decisions in an evolving scale-up environment
