Position Summary:
The Payer Liaison supports the VP of Payer and Business Operations by serving as an operational contact between Aylo Health, participating practices, and contracted payers. This role facilitates communication, oversees payer-related operational issues, supports contract implementation, and communication among many internal and external partners to ensure practices are informed of payer policies, initiatives, and requirements. The Payer Liaison helps streamline interactions between payers and practices, improving operational efficiency and strengthening payer relationships across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
Payer Relationship Support
- Serve as the point of contact between Aylo, Payers and Practices.
- Coordinate communication regarding policy updates, reimbursement changes, and operational initiatives to appropriate internal/external partners.
- Maintain consistent communication with payer representatives to address networkwide issues.
- Schedule meetings with Payers as needed.
Practice Support
- Support Practice Payer Opt In/Out process, including additional payer requirements.
- Practice notifications regarding effective/load dates.
- Track and assist practices with payer-related questions, including claims issues, authorization requirements, and reimbursement discrepancies.
- Provide guidance on payer workflows, portals, and operational processes.
- Ensure practices understand participation requirements for contracted payer programs.
Issue Escalation & Resolution
- Manage and track payer-related issues.
- Coordinate escalation with payer representatives when systemic issues occur.
- Monitor resolution timelines and communicate updates to practices.
Contract Implementation Support
- Notify all applicable parties of new payer contracts.
- Update and Maintain Implementation activities for internal and external partners.
- Ensure operational readiness for payer contract launches.
- Communicate payer requirements related to value-based care or quality initiatives to internal partners.
- Assist with VBC roster development, submission and annual updates.
- Support any other ongoing activities related to practices/payers.
Data Tracking & Reporting
- Track payer issues, resolution trends, and systemic challenges impacting the network.
- Provide internal reporting to leadership on payer performance and operational issues.
- Maintain documentation of payer contacts, termination/renewal dates, escalations, and resolution outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in provider or payor coordination, credentialing, revenue cycle, or healthcare administration.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of credentialing processes and primary source verification.
- Experience working with health plans, hospitals, and provider networks.
- Proficiency with credentialing software, databases, and online verification systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
