- Provide technical support to the Government with on-site support across system administration, web administration, software maintenance, hardware installation, software installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, resolution, and training.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for record-keeping including Continuity Books detailing troubleshooting steps and operational procedures.
- Maintain IT Incident tickets documenting level of work performed before ticket closure and communicate ticket timelines through proper ticket documentation.
- Perform duties as Audio Visual Systems Engineer supporting Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing (AVL-VC) systems.
- Ensure the COR is informed within four (4) hours of any AVL-VC systems that are unable to perform as designed.
- Provide sustainment and operational support for approximately 425 classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums, including rooms with videoconferencing equipment.
- Provide operational support for projection systems, displays, sound systems, lighting systems, control systems, and videoconferencing equipment across the installation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Primary duty station is Fort Sill, OK; however, occasional travel or secondary coverage at Fort Hood, TX may be required, including support during weekends or evenings when mission requirements dictate.
Technical Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the design, development, implementation, installation, operations, and sustainment of AVL-VC systems for both large and small facilities.
- Experience configuring AV systems and equipment including Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, matrix mixers, and switchers.
- Minimum 10+ years of verifiable experience with Digital Sound Processors (DSP), digital projection systems, digital display systems, and control system equipment installation and operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot wired and wireless data networks supporting AVL-VC systems and develop problem statements for network support staff when required.
- Experience performing Needs Assessment Analysis, site surveys, conceptual system designs, and cost estimates for technology systems across facilities.
- Ability to work with G6 and Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) to provide technical input supporting technology procurement and system upgrades.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and schematic line drawings.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, and Access.
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, lift, and push while performing technical work tasks.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights such as catwalks or lifts and work in dimly lit environments or tight technical spaces.
- Excellent visual acuity and hearing required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties as Audio Visual Systems Engineer and support AVL-VC systems across the installation.
- Provide sustainment and operational support for approximately 425 classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums, including videoconferencing systems.
- Support projection systems, displays, lighting, sound systems, control systems, and videoconferencing technologies.
- Cover down on Audio Visual Specialist duties as required based on Government needs.
- Develop plans for installation-wide AVL-VC sustainment, operations, and enhancements, including conceptual designs and cost estimates.
- Participate in planning meetings for large special events to determine AVL-VC user requirements and develop event support plans for COR review.
- Support major events by operating AVL-VC systems or providing technical guidance to operators to ensure systems function as designed.
- Configure and maintain AV systems and equipment including Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, matrix mixers, and switchers.
- Provide user training on proper operation and maintenance of AVL-VC systems.
- Troubleshoot wired or wireless networks supporting AVL-VC systems and coordinate with network support teams to resolve issues.
- Perform Needs Assessment Analysis and site surveys for organizations across the installation requiring technology systems.
- Develop conceptual system designs and cost estimates based on needs assessments.
- Provide technical input to support Request for Quote (RFQ) development for required technology systems.
- Provide technical support coordinating with Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) during system acquisition or upgrade projects.
- Maintain daily logs of work performed.
- Create SharePoint tickets for each classroom issue reported and generate FCP or AESMP tickets when required.
- Provide monthly reports to the COR outlining completed and pending work on the first normal duty day of each month.
- Propose a work log format for COR review and approval within 30 days of task order award.
- Sustain and operate Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems to ensure they perform as designed at all times.
- Repair Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems within five (5) working days of notification or obtain COR-approved delay if necessary.
- Support Senior Leadership systems including those located in:
o Commander’s Conference Room – Building 455
o Regimental Conference Room – Building 455
o Reimer Conference Center – Building 730
o Kerwin Auditorium – Building 730
- Sustain and maintain non-Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems across the installation.
- Repair non-Senior Leadership systems within ten (10) calendar days of notification or obtain COR-approved delay when required.
- Acknowledge all assigned incident tickets within 24 hours and provide resolution within 48–72 hours in accordance with support service level requirements.
Certifications
- Must possess InfoComm International Certified Technology Specialist – General (CTS) certification.
- BA/BS in a technology-related field is desired but not required.
- Must complete mandatory Government training including Antiterrorism (AT) Level I, OPSEC, and iWATCH training within 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain Secret Security Clearance throughout the duration of the contract.
