About ISE
International Student Exchange (ISE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cultural understanding and global awareness through high school exchange programs. Each year, students from around the world come to the United States for an academic year to live with volunteer host families and attend local high schools. These experiences create lifelong friendships, encourage personal growth, and build bridges between cultures and communities.
What ISE is Looking For
ISE is searching for an outgoing, people-oriented individual in the Austin area to represent the organization and help strengthen global connections between exchange students, host families, and schools. As a Community Coordinator, you’ll work independently from home while staying active in your community—facilitating placements, promoting cultural exchange, and ensuring every participant has a positive and meaningful experience.
What You’ll Do
- Recruit and screen local families interested in hosting international students
- Match students with the right host families and schools
- Conduct home visits and monthly check-ins with students and families
- Build relationships with schools, community groups, and local leaders
- Promote cultural exchange through community events and social media
- Support students and families throughout the school year to ensure a successful experience
