We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tractor Trailer Collision Repair Estimator to join our team.
This role is responsible for accurately assessing damage to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, preparing comprehensive repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, and ensuring a smooth repair process from intake to delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of heavy truck collision repair, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged tractor trailers and heavy-duty trucks to assess repair needs
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software
- Communicate directly with insurance adjusters, customers, and internal technicians
- Identify structural, frame, mechanical, and cosmetic damage
- Order parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Monitor repair progress and update estimates when required
- Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the repair process
- Maintain organized documentation for all repair orders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience estimating heavy-duty truck or tractor trailer collision repairs
- Strong knowledge of commercial truck and trailer construction and repair processes
- Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., AdjustRite platforms)
- Ability to read repair manuals, schematics, and OEM guidelines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- AdjustRite experience
- Experience in a heavy-duty truck body shop environment
- Frame and structural damage assessment experience
