Position Overview
The Facilities Services Technician provides general facilities support related to day-to-day operations of TEP properties. This position works with the facilities team to ensure all locations are safe, well-maintained and reflect to clients and staff the warm, welcoming environment which is unique to the TEP brand.

How Facilities Technicians Empower Recovery
- Routine light maintenance and repairs to buildings, appliances, equipment, furniture and other property of The Emily Program.
- Light construction, assembly and refinishing projects.
- Maintain design integrity of all TEP spaces and ensure those spaces are clean and in good repair.
- Maintain appearance/cleanliness of sidewalks and other exterior spaces
- Consider the safety and security of clients and employees at all times; identify and report safety hazards to ensure compliance with TEP standards and governmental mandates.
- Maintain lawn/landscaping and remove snow/ice from sidewalks and parking lots.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical work and determine when a licensed plumber or electrician is required.
- Respond to, prioritize and resolve in a timely manner facilities requests submitted by staff.
- Move furniture, transport goods and equipment.
- Perform emergency clean ups (in absence of janitorial staff) and other cleaning as assigned.
- Ongoing inspection/walk-throughs of assigned properties and equipment to ensure high standards from janitorial and other vendors
- Perform other maintenance duties assigned by Senior Facilities Manager
Educational Qualifications
- High school diploma/ GED required
Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a facilities technician role or equivalent experience with basic maintenance and repair of buildings and appliances.
- Low pressure boiler license a plus.

Other Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related field, preferred.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices. Familiarity with building automation systems and safety regulations.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, OSHA), Low pressure boiler license are highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical.
- Basic carpentry skills required.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, operate snowplow and lawn mower.

- Valid Driver's license and personal vehicle required
Workplace Environment:
- Standing 90% and Sitting 10%•Climbing ladders 6 feet or less
- Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching frequently.
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to approx. 50 pounds
- This position may require occasional after-hours work, emergency response, and availability to work during snow removal season.
- The Facilities Services Technician must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and handle physical demands associated with facility maintenance.
