Duties
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pneumatic tube systems, including blowers, diverters, control boards, and electrical components.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as voltage meters, pressure gauges, and precision measuring instruments to accurately identify and resolve system issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of pneumatic tube systems, including airflow and pressure checks, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated system components for maintenance or repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts used, and system status.
- Collaborate with customers to provide technical support and recommendations for system improvements based on analysis.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to working with electrical systems and mechanical components within various facility environments.
- Assist in training team members or customers on pneumatic tube system operation or maintenance procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or field service, specifically with pneumatic systems or similar electromechanical equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Hands-on expertise with pneumatic components, control systems, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely and efficiently for elevated work tasks.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of low voltage (<50V) and high voltage (>600V) electrical systems; experience with multimeters and other diagnostic tools essential for analysis.
- Industrial electrician or industrial mechanic background preferred; military experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse audiences.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining safety standards at all times.
