Position Title: Lead Structured Cabling Travel Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt
SALARY: Hourly
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, travel, 100% irregular working hours Monday thru Friday. Weekends may be required based on customers need.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead Technician will be working on and monitoring installations for hospitals and other healthcare related businesses.
- Cat6 cable experience required
- Must have a working knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems to include the Installation, Terminating and Testing of Copper and Fiber
- Must be very professional and able to represent GTS in the challenging healthcare environment
- Background in healthcare deployments a plus
- Must provide own personal hand tools
- Will work in small spaces and from various heights
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Installation, repair, and maintenance of cable systems and associated hardware
· Install pathway systems, fire sleeves, terminate, test, and troubleshoot connections.
· Provide customer support, assist with manufacturer warranties, and maintain proper documentation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health, and Safety requirements and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Must be able to communicate with customers and vendors on a professional level and have best interest of company in mind when interfacing with customers on and off sites.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
· This position may serve as leadman on various projects and crews.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Hospital Environment
· May be exposed to patients' conditions and some unpleasant sights, smells, and contagious diseases.
· Must have COVID vaccination and booster
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
· Grasp and manipulate various hand tools.
· Twist, bend, pull, push reach, and stoop regularly.
· Standing up to 14 hours per day.
TRAVEL
· Travel from home with multiple overnight stays is required with this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSE’S, AND EXPERIENCE
· Highschool Diploma, or GED Equivalent.
· Must possess good driving record and a valid Driver’s License during the term of employment.
· knowledge of BICSI standards-Certification preferred
· knowledge of Structured Cabling Techniques and systems
· direct work experience in structured cabling capacity
· experience with LAN Certifiers and/or Sweep Test Gear
· OSHA Safety Training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
