About the Role:
We're seeking a Service Director that is dedicated to the development and growth of our service departments. This person will work in a fast-paced environment, interact frequently with the Company’s founders, and report to the COO.
This is a remote position that requires about 50% travel. The ideal candidate will be located near a major metro airport, preferably Atlanta or Nashville.
Responsibilities:
This role will develop consistent standard operating procedures for our service departments across all properties including but not limited to service work order authorization, extended work authorization approval, outside contractors, estimates, WIP, Environmental Fees and Shop Supplies. In addition, they will establish the KPIs needed to grow this business line and will implement standard tools for tracking these KPIs across the portfolio.
This role will work closely with Human Resources to establish a service technician pipeline to hire service technicians. It is expected that they will work closely with GM’s and local technical schools to help develop apprenticeship programs with our service departments to foster a nurturing environment for technicians to build their skills and grow.
The Service Director will work with an internal team during acquisitions to aid in the transition. They will work with the onsite service team at acquisition to determine what parts are obsolete and should be moved out of start-up inventory.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience leading service and parts in a marine or automotive environment.
- Proven experience increasing service and parts revenue at multiple locations, marine or automotive.
- Multi-site experience leading service and parts.
- Hands-on leader who can motivate others and ensure that all functions run smoothly.
