About Veterans Fleet Management
Veterans Fleet Management is a national fleet services organization supporting telematics installations and fleet technology deployments across the United States.
We operate at the intersection of technology and field execution — supporting technicians nationwide who install GPS systems, dashcams, fleet tracking devices, and other connected vehicle systems.
This is not a small local shop.
This is a national operation supporting enterprise-level fleets and telematics providers.
We are building structured, professional support infrastructure — and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that foundation.
The Opportunity
This is a fully remote, full-time salary position designed for a senior 12V professional ready to step out of daily installs and into a technical leadership support role.
You will serve as a trusted technical authority for field technicians nationwide — guiding troubleshooting, reinforcing standards, and ensuring installations are completed correctly and professionally.
This role requires experience, confidence, and the ability to earn respect quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Provide live remote troubleshooting support to field technicians via phone and messaging platforms
- Diagnose advanced 12V electrical issues including power, ground, ignition, relays, fuse taps, and CAN systems
- Support telematics device provisioning, activation, and reporting issues
- Troubleshoot GPS units, dashcams, LTE connectivity, antenna placement, and firmware concerns
- Assist technicians with multimeter diagnostics remotely
- Contact technicians for installation clarifications, documentation follow-ups, and quality control matters
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Log detailed ticket notes and maintain clean documentation
This role is both technical and communicative. You must be comfortable guiding conversations professionally and directly.
Required Experience
- 3–5+ years of 12V automotive electrical experience
- Direct telematics installation experience in fleet environments
- Strong multimeter and wiring diagram interpretation skills
- Experience with hardwire GPS and camera systems
- Familiarity with CAN bus systems
- Previous experience working in a remote or office-based technical support role (not strictly field-only)
Experience with platforms such as Verizon Connect, GPS Insight, Geotab, Samsara, Motive, Fleet Complete, Lytx, Azuga, or similar is strongly preferred.
Who You Are
- Calm under pressure
- Friendly, professional communicator
- Structured and organized
- Highly knowledgeable and confident
- Comfortable earning respect from seasoned field technicians
- Self-managed and disciplined in a remote environment
You should be someone technicians trust within minutes of speaking to you.
Compensation & Growth
- $65,000 annual salary
- Full-time remote position
- Flexible weekend availability required
- Opportunity for advancement and expanded responsibilities as the company grows
This position offers long-term stability and the opportunity to grow into broader technical and operational leadership roles within a national fleet services organization.
If you are a senior-level 12V telematics professional who understands both field execution and operational structure, we invite you to apply.
