The Role
We’re looking for a detail oriented Staff Accountant to help own and scale our accounting operations as we grow.
You will focus on day‑to‑day expense accounting while also improving processes, strengthening controls, and partnering closely with our external bookkeeping firm and auditors. If you enjoy building clean systems, tightening workflows, and making finance run smoother, you’ll thrive here.
What You Will Do
- Own and manage all expense‑related accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursements.
- Review, code, approve or escalate expenses in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Administer and optimize expense approval workflows; partner with FP&A to monitor spend against budget and investigate variances.
- Drive continuous improvement and documentation of expense and AP processes and system integrations as the company scales
- Partner with the external bookkeeping firm on month-end close, expense accruals, and reconciliations
- Support external audit and diligence requests
What We Are Looking For
- 1–2 years of professional accounting experience as staff accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of expense accounting and general ledger fundamentals
- Experience working with bill-pay platforms, corporate cards, and reimbursement tools
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced startup environment with evolving processes
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Solid foundation in Excel and Google Sheets formulas and functionalities
Nice to Have
- Exposure to audit support, equity administration, or payroll
- Experience working with external bookkeeping or accounting firms
- Familiarity with SaaS companies or high-growth startups
- Experience improving accounting processes or implementing new tools
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Ramp, Navan, and/or Rippling

Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $95,000 USD
