Creative Marketing Strategist
Newhouse is seeking a Creative Marketing Strategist who excels at pitch deck execution that combines strategic thinking, compelling storytelling and data analysis. Ideal candidates will possess strong presentation skills to persuade clients or stakeholders to adopt their marketing plans. Your core duties involve leading the process from initial idea to final presentation and ensuring the creative vision aligns with business objectives.
You should have big agency experience and/or a deep portfolio of work to present as part of your interview.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Own the strategy, copywriting & narrative of each deck/presentation.
- Collaboration with design team to bring strategic pitch deck to life, with direct design requests within timely manner.
- Pitching decks real time via zoom & in-person meetings for both clients, internal, and potential partners.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ideation & Campaign Development: Spearheading the brainstorming process and developing innovative, impactful campaign concepts for various platforms (digital, social, experiential, etc.).
- Market & Data Analysis: Conducting thorough market and competitor research to inform strategic recommendations and leveraging data to develop performance-driven ideas that resonate with the target audience.
- Pitch Deck Ownership: Owning the narrative, copywriting, and overall structure of the pitch deck or proposal materials, ensuring a cohesive and compelling story.
- Presentation & Communication: Confidently and articulately presenting ideas and strategies to internal teams, c-suite executives, and potential clients, defending the rationale behind the recommendations to gain buy-in.
- Collaboration & Project Management: Acting as a liaison between sales, design, creative, and production teams to ensure seamless execution, managing project timelines and approvals, and ensuring all materials are on-brand.
- Performance Analysis: Defining KPIs, monitoring campaign performance after the pitch is accepted, and using insights to refine future strategies and optimize results.
KEY SKILLS
- Must have at least 5 years experience designing and copywriting pitch decks and one sheets, with a portfolio of work to back it up.
- Must have ability to clearly and confidently present pitch decks and marketing plans directly to artist teams, c-suite executives, and potential brand partners
- Exceptional Communication: Top-notch verbal and written communication skills are essential for both crafting persuasive copy and presenting ideas effectively.
- Presentation Proficiency: Expertise in presentation software like PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides is a must, along with a keen eye for design and visual storytelling.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: The ability to translate complex consumer insights, market data, and business objectives into clear, actionable marketing strategies.
- Creative Acumen: A strong creative instinct and an understanding of what makes content engaging and effective across different mediums.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Often requires a minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a creative or strategy role within an agency or platform, with a portfolio of relevant work.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of current industry trends, social media platforms, and emerging technologies.
