As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a reliable bookkeeper who takes ownership of their work, communicates professionally, and contributes positively to the team.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with 3–5 years of cleanup and catch-up experience.
This role will begin with cleanup projects and can expand into ongoing monthly maintenance work for contractors who are interested.
This is a remote contractor position with the following communication expectations:
- Weekly virtual check-in meeting
- Monthly in-person team meeting in Orem, UT
Key Responsibilities
Cleanup & Catch-Up Work
- Reorganize and clean up Chart of Accounts
- Categorize, reclassify, and review historical transactions
- Clean up Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Clean up Products & Services list in QuickBooks Online
- Identify and resolve historical accounting discrepancies
- Perform accurate, thorough bank reconciliations
Ongoing Monthly Maintenance (as available)
- Monthly categorization and reconciliation
- Monthly financial report generation
- Light financial analysis to flag trends, issues, or areas of concern
- Continued communication with the team regarding client needs
Team & Client Communication
- Attend weekly virtual meetings
- Attend monthly in-person meeting
- Communicate questions promptly and clearly
- Maintain honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping cleanup/catch-up experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Understanding of COA structure, AR/AP processes, and reconciliation workflows
- Strong communication skills—comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and stay organized
- Must be located in Utah County or Salt Lake County
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor
Preferred Qualifications
- Real estate bookkeeping experience
- Prior experience serving small business clients
