What You’ll Own

Partner with the VP of Finance to support finance, accounting, and business activities
Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and the compiling, analyzing and reporting of financial data
Manage accounts payable: process invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile vendor accounts
Aggregate, filter and organize detailed invoices into various G/L subsets and classes in accounting software
Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Serve as a point of contact across departments and with external partners, including customers, suppliers, and brokers
Maintain equipment financing records, fixed asset records, depreciation and amortization schedules
Assist with inventory accounting, including monthly reconciliations, cost accounting oversight, and inventory valuation
Work cross-functionally with the supply chain and operations team around inventory management
Manage accounts receivable: application of customer payments, monitor aging, address disputes/deductions, and maintain strong customer relationships

Who You Are

2+ years of recent accounting or finance experience, preferably within CPG
Software: Quickbooks Online proficiency a must. Will work regularly in Excel, Google Sheets, Bill.com, and Glimpse (vendor trade remittance aggregator).
Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities as needed
