Senior Financial Analyst – High-Growth SaaS (Early-Stage, Reporting to CFO)

About the Role
As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will report directly to the CFO and work closely with an outsourced accounting team. This role blends FP&A, accounting oversight, forecasting, revenue modeling, investor reporting, and business analytics.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, understands SaaS revenue mechanics, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
What You’ll Own (First 3–6 Months)
Act as the finance “bridge” between the CFO and accounting team:
- Ensure accuracy of monthly accounting, revenue entries, and cash reconciliation
- Identify gaps and help strengthen processes as the business scales
Revenue forecasting & analytics:
- Model revenue across multiple customer segments
- Build and iterate on forecasting frameworks
Investor reporting:
- Support monthly/quarterly reporting packages
- Prepare KPI summaries, performance dashboards, and supporting schedules
Recurring FP&A responsibilities:
- Expense/spend analysis
- Budget-to-actual reporting
- Variance analysis across departments
Operational finance:
- Assist with monthly invoicing
- Run dashboards and data pulls with internal analytics teams
What You’ll Take On Over Time
- Lead budgeting cycles and long-range planning
- Develop pricing frameworks and elasticity analyses
- Build contribution margin models across multiple product lines
- Support vendor evaluations, negotiations, and contract optimization
What You Need to Bring
- 5+ years of finance experience (FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, or similar)
- Deep understanding of the SaaS revenue model
- Solid accounting intuition; able to partner closely with accounting teams
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar GL systems)
- Analytically strong, fast learner, detail-oriented
- Thrives in early-stage, fast-moving environments
- Low ego, high ownership, strong communication skills
Bonus:
- Experience with billing tools, subscription platforms, or payment processors
- Dashboarding/data experience (Looker, Tableau, Sheets, SQL basics, etc.)
