Kenah Consulting is hiring a full-time, remote Administrative & Research Assistant. This role provides critical support to the firm’s operations and client portfolio, combining administrative coordination with applied research, data management, and program development. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, research ability, and professional communication in supporting the firm’s mission and growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files.
- Manage timesheet review and payroll processing for employees and contractors.
- Track invoices, reconcile accounts, and support financial recordkeeping.
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings and firm communications.
- Conduct documentary and historical research in archival repositories.
- Support survey development and analysis to assess client needs and capacity.
- Contribute to program development tailored to client and community needs.
- Assist in developing program management and evaluation tools.
- Support drafting, editing, and producing deliverables, including policies, procedures, training modules, and presentations
- Participate in professional development and client development activities.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings and correspondence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of an associates degree; or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or knowledge of Indigenous histories, cultures, tribal governance, or administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to understand and comply with federal, state, local, and tribal laws and regulations (including business operations and grant administration).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to prepare reports and correspondence.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work well with colleagues, clients, governmental and institutional representatives, and the public.

Working Conditions and Requirements:
- Must be able to work remotely.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: $50,000–$56,500 annually, with quarterly bonuses based on performance.
- Vacation and Sick Time Accrual.
- 401(k) Retirement with 4% Employer Contribution (dependent on fulfillment of eligibility requirements).
