Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Associate to drive sourcing and qualification of acquisition opportunities in the commercial landscaping sector. This role is remote, with the expectation that the Associate will proactively generate high-quality leads, engage business owners, and pass qualified opportunities to senior bankers for evaluation and execution.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in origination, a deep understanding of the commercial landscaping sector, and a relentless drive to source actionable deals. You will be expected to bring high-value business opportunities to the firm, maintaining a strong pipeline and contributing directly to the overall growth of the firm's presence in the sector.
Responsibilities
- Originate and qualify acquisition targets within the commercial landscaping sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
- Collect high-level financial and operational information from prospective targets.
- Pass qualified leads to senior bankers for evaluation, modeling, and execution.
- Proactively identify new business development opportunities, leveraging existing networks and establishing new relationships.
- Drive results, with a focus on sourcing actionable deals and achieving defined lead-generation metrics.
Compensation
- Base Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
- Bonus: Performance-based compensation. Associates will receive a minimum total compensation of $250,000 (salary plus bonus incentives) upon meeting defined origination goals that result in the successful closing of qualified M&A transactions.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in M&A origination, corporate development, or deal sourcing within the commercial landscaping or adjacent industrial services sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and qualify acquisition opportunities while managing multiple leads in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success sourcing or executing M&A or roll-up transactions.
- Experience within an acquisitive strategic buyer, private equity platform, or lower middle-market investment bank.
- Ability to evaluate high-level financials and assess transaction fit.
- Highly self-motivated, competitive, and entrepreneurial, with a performance-driven mindset.
- Existing industry relationships strongly preferred.
