AV Support Specialist (On-Site or REMOTE – Waltham, MA)
Contract Duration: 6 months – 1 year
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily on-site AV support for meetings, events, and conference room systems
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Crestron, Logitech, and Zoom Room systems
- Troubleshoot real-time audio, video, and control system issues
- Deploy and integrate new AV hardware, firmware, and software components
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with upgrades and expansions
- Monitor and manage devices through Zoom Admin Portal and Logitech Sync
- Collaborate with IT, networking, and facilities teams to align systems with infrastructure standards
- Document configurations, wiring diagrams, and create user-facing operational guides
Technical Skills & Tools (Intermediate Level)
Audio
- DSPs: Biamp Tesira, QSC Q-SYS, Shure IntelliMix – configure EQ, routing, mixing, and echo cancellation
- Microphones: Beamforming ceiling, boundary, and wireless – deploy, tune, and perform gain structure adjustments
- Audio-over-IP: Dante, AES67 – configure routing, clocking, and troubleshooting
Video
- PTZ & Auto-Tracking Cameras: Logitech Rally, Poly, or similar – configure presets, integrate with conferencing platforms
- Video-over-IP: HDBaseT, NDI, SDVoE – deploy encoders/extenders, troubleshoot latency or EDID issues
- Displays & Projectors: Mount, configure resolutions/EDID, and integrate with control systems
Control Systems
- Crestron, AMX, Extron: Load and test control programs, wire touch panels, verify device communication
Collaboration Platforms
- Zoom Rooms: Deploy certified hardware, configure profiles, and perform troubleshooting
Networking for AV
- VLANs, QoS, Multicast: Basic configuration and AV connectivity troubleshooting
Management & Monitoring
- Zoom Admin Portal, Logitech Sync: Register devices, monitor health, apply updates, pull reports
Digital Signage
- BrightSign, Appspace: Deploy and schedule content, configure players, and perform updates
General
- Documentation & Runbooks: Create wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and operational guides
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose audio feedback, video sync, and control system issues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on AV support experience in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Crestron, Logitech, and Zoom Room technologies
- Familiarity with networked AV environments (VLANs, QoS, Dante, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, on-site setting
- Preferred certifications: Crestron, Dante, or Zoom Rooms

Our client, a leading global technology organization, is seeking an Audio-Visual (AV) Support Contractor to join their on-site IT Operations team in Waltham, MA. This hands-on role supports, maintains, and enhances AV systems and conference room technologies across the office.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Crestron, Logitech, and Zoom Rooms, along with a working knowledge of DSPs, cameras, digital signage systems, and networked AV environments. You’ll ensure all meeting and collaboration spaces deliver seamless, high-quality audio and video experience.

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
