CreativeOPTIC is hiring for a Social Media Graphic Designer to join our Digital Marketing (remote) team in Los Angeles, California.
As CreativeOPTIC’s Social Media Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for turning our written content and trending stories into visuals that pop on the feed and stop the scroll. From news-style carousels to reaction-driven quote cards and story templates, you’ll bring life to the narratives we post daily—always with style, speed, and culture in mind. You are also a brand advocate contributing to the social media strategies, collaborating closely with partners across the organization to heighten awareness of our brand content and drive user engagement through social media channels.

The role
The ideal candidate will be part Marketing Associate, Graphic Designer and Community Liaison with a passion for the online social experience.
This role requires you to set correct expectations with acute details to designs while social listening (or just be good at “creeping” lol), stellar design skills and a knack for trending things.
The ability to respond to comments and audience reactions of fans charmingly and open up new opportunities with new viewers.
The Environment CreativeOPTIC. is a 24-hour network which requires staff who are flexible and available to work various shifts, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Major Roles/ Responsibilities
- Designing social media graphics (IG posts, Threads visuals, carousel slides, story frames, and more) that pair with our short-form writeups
- Translating quick-turn news, creator updates, and trending moments into engaging visual content using brand-approved templates or creating new ones as needed
- Working hand-in-hand with our writers to ensure visuals complement the tone, message, and energy of the copy
- Maintaining visual consistency across all designs using our brand color palette, fonts, layout structure and image style
- Adapting content for platform-specific needs, including Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X and TikTok cover frames
- Creating light animations or GIFs for select posts (if applicable/within your skill set)
- Delivering fast-turnaround graphics for breaking stories, ideally within 24–48 hours of the news cycle
- Managing and organizing reusable templates and helping build a plug-and-play asset library for the team
- Staying up-to-date on design trends across internet culture, tech and social media formats
- Pitching creative design ideas for campaigns, special drops, giveaways or collaborations
Qualifications
- Proven design experience (preferably B2B or Intern experience).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the digital and social media landscape (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google, SEO, Google Analytics)
- Proficiency in digital photo editing, illustrator/photoshop, social media photography, and styling
- Self motivated, positive, creative, innovative thinker and multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and manage time strategically
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design or related field preferred
- Excellent English skills, with superb writing abilities in various diverse styles/tones with accurate spelling and grammar (samples are appreciated)
- A profound comprehension of customers and what motivates them
- Strict adherence to brand guidelines and company policy
- Extraordinary research, organizational, and learning abilities
- Deep understanding of Adobe Suite software
