Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily office operations, coordinating communications, and ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist families, visitors, and vendors in a professional and compassionate manner.
Answer, screen, and direct phone calls and messages.
Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, and appointment reminders.
Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).
Assist with data entry, billing, and record-keeping tasks.
Order and maintain office supplies as needed.
Support funeral directors and staff with administrative needs.
Uphold confidentiality and sensitivity when handling family and company records.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or in a related role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general office equipment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
High level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
