Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Help Desk Specialist I to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide remote technical support to our clients and occasionally visit client sites in the Minneapolis, MN area. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network.
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support when necessary.
- Document all support interactions in the ticketing system.
- Provide timely updates to clients on the status of their issues.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on client systems.
- Conduct occasional on-site visits to clients in the Minneapolis, MN area to resolve issues that cannot be handled remotely.
- Maintain knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Willingness to travel for occasional on-site visits to clients in the Minneapolis, MN area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with at least two certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MS900, SC900, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of managed service provider operations.
