Employer Maintenance Specialists are detail-orientated individuals with strong research skills, knowledge of business structures, and the employer’s child support responsibilities. Skills also include accurate typing skills along with quality data entry, computer skills with the ability to navigate comfortably between screens and applications, and a professional phone manner. Along with working employer maintenance, they also support New Hire Reporting and on behalf of a number of States in coordination with the Office of Child Support Programs by providing quality services that include timely and accurate data entry.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and research information in state child support system prior to contacting employers.
- Refrain from adding duplicate entries into the state system and process discovered duplicates accordingly for removal.
- Research federal child support portal and/or internet for employer’s company information.
- Contact employers to verify required information on company.
- Annotate Stellarware application with proper response depicting the result of conversation or form received from employer.
- Respond to inquiries via email, fax, or voicemail, documents said inquiries, and track said issues to appropriate resolution.
- Use resources to locate information, including but not limited to database lookup, Internet searches, telephone networking, etc.
- Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Maintain the state system and Stellarware Admin, ensuring all data entry is accurate.
- Identify and resolve errors in reports received.
- Maintain or exceed response times, production requirements, and accuracy rates.
- Maintains relevant industry knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions.
- Always provide an elevated level of customer service.
- Complete daily tasks and responsibilities as assigned or needed.
- Provide feedback to management on issues or trends, ideas or suggestions.
- Attends scheduled meetings with Maintenance and New Hire teams.
- Strong computer skills, including online research, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.
