As a Director of Retail Sales -Western Region at Florida’s Natural, you’ll work alongside Sales team to manage existing business, gaining incremental sales and growing sales profitability at a corporate and retail level located within your assigned sales region.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue targets and business growth objectives.
- Partner with customers to develop tailored solutions that meet their needs and drive long-term loyalty.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Set clear performance expectations, monitor results, and provide actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Research and Development) to align sales efforts with overall business strategies.
- Partner with Sales Operations and Commercial Finance to establish and manage pricing strategies, promotional plans, and sales forecasting processes.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key retail, distribution, and broker partners, including grocery chains, big-box retailers, and e-commerce platforms.
- Stay informed of industry trends, consumer behaviors, and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build the brand and identify growth opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- MBA preferred
- 8–10 years of progressive sales experience in the CPG industry, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the CPG retail landscape, including experience with major retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc.) and distributors.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in sales forecasting, analytics, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency in Trade Promotion software (e.g., GoSimple) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thrives in an environment that is fast paced and able to adapt to changing situation
