Hamlyn Williams is partnered with a leading Venture Capital firm who has seen unprecedented growth in the past year. They are now hiring for a Senior Accountant to focus on their Venture Funds, reporting into the Venture Controller. This is a newly created role with a clear pathway to becoming an Assistant Controller.
This is a fully remote role, must be based in the US.
Responsibilities
- Support and work directly with the Venture team as Finance & Ops liaison
- Manage the portfolio company valuation process
- Assist with management of fund administrator
- Assist with and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and audits
- Manage external tax advisors / review of year-end K1’s
- Respond to investor communications
- Perform ad hoc related tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
- 3 - 5 years experience in fund accounting
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
