We are seeking an experienced VP of Sales with Food/Retail Grocery experience to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth through outside sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technical sales and account management, with a strong background in sales leadership and customer service. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing sales teams, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Duties
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets.
- Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize sales processes.
- Conduct market research to stay current on industry trends and customer needs.
- Utilize technical sales skills to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and prospects.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with business goals.
- Manage and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Sales in food, CPG or Retail grocery experience.
- 5+ years of Sr. Dir or VP level experience.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing sales teams.
- Excellent customer service and account management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
- Travel: 30-40% based on needs.
