Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Region Head of Sales.
Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the activities of the Territory Sales Managers (TSM) in their region to drive sales growth. Makes recommendations to enhance performance and incorporates new selling techniques. Responsible for ongoing TSM training and development, activity & sales monitoring, weekly skill building, coaching and field training. Serve as the primary contact for key large national accounts for non-Blue ancillary and all LTC accounts. Resolve elevated issues regarding relationship/channels as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized or targeted sales strategies.
- Establish Territory sales goals for each TSM and ensure achievement of goals.
- Assist in developing and monitoring annual sales budget.
- Establish assigned meeting goals with each TSM.
- Collaborate with various LifeSecure departments to achieve sales goals.
- Monitor business plans and activities to ensure sales objectives are achieved, and implement action plan when objectives are not achieved.
- Set and monitor TSM sales activity, ensuring agent appointments, agent presentations and general sales production meets or exceeds production goals.
- Travel with each TSM in assigned region a minimum of four (4) times per year to provide training/coaching and attend agent meetings.
- Manage key large accounts, Agencies and Call Centers within assigned territory.
- Prepare and schedule quarterly reviews to evaluate sales achieved and strategies to maximize achievement of goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of insurance sales management experience; virtual team experience preferred.
- Exceptional sales skills, technical knowledge with ability to train and mentor others to be successful.
- Corporate and Agency experience in a sales role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Long-Term Care and Ancilary insurance products is preferred.
- Experience with selecting and developing sales teams.
- Highly proficient with MS Office, Salesforce, web-based presentation.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Superior sales, coaching and training skills.
- Ability to analyze date, make recommendations, put forth decisions and implement action plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to be creative and offer alternative solutions.
- Agile with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.
- Position requires frequent travel: day and overnight. Approximately 50%.
